I saw one post on a forum somewhere that there might be an option in the ArduinoTools options to select serial and STM32 USB port or something, but I have no matching option. I also saw some posts that suggested the USB bootloader does not always work due to differences in the boards coming out of China etc. Perhaps best to stick the the serial bootloader, although even then swapping the boot jumper pins all the time is a pain. Ive used the bootloader, serial DFU, and the STlink-v2 (clone) and mostly stick with the STlink approach except with the Maple Mini clone boards. Because the USB controller is onboard the STM32 chip a reset causes the USB to reset also which means the USB can re-register as a different device, at least on my Linux PC, and this is annoying. Also the blue pill boards are mostly built with an incorrect USB resistor value and some PCs are not happy with this. Then has me installing like 6 different other software packages, git-hubs that I have never heard of before. Other tutorials explain using some ICE programmer that cost 3,000 - that other confusing tutorials explain the same piece of hardware cost 30 that I do not know if I need, since people are explaining I get the same debug info from an ST-LINK adapter with the 50 other pieces of software that I do not know what it is doing. I do not know what a maple mini is yet, since some videos show maple mini looks just like the one I have, then others show something different. I can actually compile and upload a working project to this device as MAPLE MINI which shows up in the serial-port as MAPLE MINI. Is this a blue pill A maple mini I do not know - my simple test projects run the same as both.
